Anne Frank and Me by Cherie Bennett
This is a book about one girl’s journey back to the holocaust to understand why it’s something important to learn about. All the characters have the same names. This book will leave you in awe by the end. I would recommend this book to people who like historical fiction and romantic books with forbidden love.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne
This is a heart-warming story about an unlikely friendship between a Nazi soldier’s son and a Jewish boy. While you read this book, you will cry at some points. These unlikely friends are separated by a fence and the German boy can’t understand why. I would recommend this book to people who love heart-warming stories and stories about unlikely friendships.

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
Melinda Sordino went to the biggest party in eighth grade for graduation. At the party, something terrible happened and she called the police. She spends the summer alone and on the first day of high school her “used-to-be” friend picks on her and bullies her. For reasons unknown, she keeps what happened a secret. Can she deal with it? I would recommend this book because bad things can happen to just about anyone. Something can change your life in an instant.
