Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz
A girl named Schulyer Van Alen who is an “outcast” but suddenly becomes popular when the most popular guy in school starts paying attention to her. Suddenly after she starts hanging out with Jack Finch, a popular girl in school gets killed. Read the book to find out more. . . This book is really neat and includes some notes from a personal diary from when Plymouth is discovered.

An American Plague by Jim Murphy
This book is about the Yellow Fever epidemic of the year 1783. The book won six awards. The disease killed many, but it helped people become aware of how dirty their city was and gave them a reason to clean it up. Benjamin Rush was one of the best doctors of the time. He was also the one who devised a cure for Yellow Fever. I would recommend this book to other students because I liked it. I think anyone who likes to learn about history and who can keep their lunch down, no problem, would like it, too.
