Story of a Girl by Sara Zarr
This is a book about a girl (obviously) that makes a mistake when she was 13. She was in the car with 17 year-old Tommy and her dad caught her. Now that she is 16, she tries as hard as she can to turn things around. She is known as the easy-girl at school. Her father distrusts his own daughter after all these years. Now that she has a path to follow and a goal to reach, she has no choice but to go towards it. Throughout the story “Dee-Dee,” Tommy’s nickname for her, gets harassed, tries to turn her life around, and almost makes the same mistake twice. If you want to know more, all you have to do is read the book. I would recommend that you read this book because it teaches a valuable lesson. You have to be mature to read this book. I would tell you the lesson, but that’s the purpose of reading the book.
